About Computer Systems Consultants

The company, Computer Systems Consultants, was founded by Frank A. Herda in 1978 in Cleveland Ohio.

This was the beginning days of the personal computer.

Some of the systems that appeared during this time was the Radio Shack TRS-80 and the IBM PC.

The TRS-80 was a modular system that was constructed by the owner. For it's time it was best system on the market.

The original model of the IBM PC had no hard disk and used low density floppy drives to boot the system and run programs.

The company was originally founded to service the home PC user, setting up systems and training users how to use them and the available software packages.

In about 1985, the PC was beginning to be used in the small business for accounting and word processing. The company branched into this market to show business users how to speed up accounting, inventory control and how to write letters better.

Since then, new technology has flooded the market with better and faster PC's, LAN's WAN's and the Internet. Computer Systems Consultants have pursued the new technology to support Business and Home PC users.

Beginning in September 1996, Computer Systems Consultants have embraced the Internet as a means of advertising both for our company and other businesses by establishing this Web site.
